Whose path

“Love is the name for our pursuit of wholeness, for our desire to be complete.” – Plato

“Fear is a reaction. Courage is a decision.”

We are excited to promote the “TheraCise Way”. Therapeutic Exercises and Training Drills which are perfect for the beginner yet effective enough for the seasoned athlete. We will introduce you to a whole new aspect of fitness where the focus is more on “Feeling” the results rather than seeing. We’ll start by conducting a Preliminary Health Assessment and Movement Screening. This will give our TheraCise Specialist a better understanding on which exercises would work best so they can design a Goal And Performance(GAP) plan specific to your needs. Whatever it takes for our clients to FEEL and BE their best, that’s what we do at TheraCise. When LIFE FEELS BETTER, LIFE IS BETTER.

There are so many paths in life that one can and take. There are also many fitness programs. As the creator of TheraCise, I want to explain how and why it was developed. You see as a young adult, I worked out to build muscle size for aesthetic purposes, as most adults do. The technique is called Hypertrophy Training. It’s the process of contracting your muscle under a load that is about 70% of the maximum amount of weight you can lift, one time. AKA, a 1 Rep. Max. By doing this in 4 sets for typically 8 to 12 repetitions, that strain will cause micro tears in the muscle fibers which will need repair. Muscle protein synthesis is your bodies self healing process that will repair those damaged fibers by growing new additional fibers for added protection. The purpose of this muscle regeneration is, TO PREVENT YOU FROM DOING IT AGAIN. But, we as a culture who has adopted a muscular physique as the advertisement for fitness, believe that self injury is good for human beings. Yes, the outcome is you build more muscle mass, but does that mean it’s right? The added muscle mass and the frequency of doing the same thing over and over again puts enormous stress on the joints that are constantly being hinged. You also lose intramuscular coordination which is your primary and stabilizer muscles working together to provide balance and stabilization against the natural forces of gravity. As you age and the muscle breaks down, the pain from the joint damage and muscle imbalance will reveal itself. That’s why former bodybuilders in there 50’s and older are in so much pain. The best way for a body to become strong and balanced, is to use gravity as the resistance and move your body in as many different configurations as possible. This is the most practical way to become fit and it will also improve your mobility and agility to levels you never thought were possible. Try TheraCise and you’ll learn how to become a new you. A healthier you. A “Better You.”

5 week Starter COURSE – 15 sessions

This is our introduction to a healthy and active lifestyle. TheraCise realizes that the best way to get in shape is to learn what your body is made of and how it all works. So we’ll teach you. It’s time to take control of your health and wellness and it starts with this Starter COURSE. It is designed to “Plant the Seed” which from there you’ll have gained the knowledge and experience and most importantly, been inspired to continue to grow and reach your full potential.

WEEK 1 – Mind-Body Connection—–Central Nervous System

Welcome to your CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM. We are going to open up communication throughout your entire body. There is a network of channels that will be stimulated which will allow for quicker reactions and more efficient movement. Your CNS is the most amazing part of your body. It is the Tech inside of you and it’s not only responsible for everyday motion but it has it’s own memory. When we perform new movements that your body doesn’t know, it takes a lot of fuel, hence fat burning, to accomplish them. Get ready to unleash your potential and challenge your will, because training your CNS, is training your capabilities.

WEEK 2 – Balance & Coordination—–Vestibular System

Welcome to your VESTIBULAR SYSTEM. The most under developed and under appreciated system in fitness. This is what children develop at the playground when they do summersaults, hang from the monkey bars and swing on the swings. It’s like having a gyroscope and an altimeter in your head that regulates your body’s position in space and time. This delicate inner ear sensory system coordinates movement with balance. Vertigo, dizziness and motion sickness all stem from a conflict between visually perceived motion and vestibular sensed motion. They are all attributed to a weak vestibular system so that’s why it’s so important to train.

WEEK 3 – Strength & Power—–Musculoskeletal System

Welcome to your MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM. Combining bones, muscles, ligaments, tendons and joints, this system utilizes all of them when moving and being active. It is our inner frame and hardware so it’s important to learn the stresses and limits as we train for strength and power.

WEEK 4 – Pulse & Breath—–Cardiorespiratory System

Welcome to your CARDIORESPIRATORY SYSTEM. Blood being pumped by the heart carries oxygen and nutrients to your body’s muscles while taking carbon dioxide and waste products away from the muscles. Breathing transports the oxygen through a system of tubes into our lungs which diffuses it into the bloodstream. Our training will utilize this system which will greatly improve your overall health, fitness and well-being.

WEEK 5 – Feel & Be Better—–Endocrine System

Welcome to your ENDOCRINE SYSTEM. You may hear that people exercise more for their mind than their body. There is a collection of glands that produce hormones which are specialized proteins that regulate bodily functions. Metabolism, muscle function, growth and development, sexual function, sleep and mood are just a few examples. REAL FITNESS is the development of you as a whole, into becoming a happier, fun-filled, love life, confident and successful you. In everything you do. This is the last week of training but it’s not the end. It’s merely the beginning. The SEED has been planted and it’s up to you to, “Stay the COURSE.” WELCOME TO THE NEW YOU. A SUPER YOU.
