Homeostasis is a self-regulating process by which biological systems maintain stability. It is a state of balance needed for a body to function properly. The central nervous, vestibular, musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory and endocrine systems all work together to help maintain homeostasis so it seems only fitting that we address all of them when it comes to our training. There are many types of stressors in life which can put our bodies into survival mode; thus reluctant to change. By performing some therapeutic drills within a workout, the nervous system can be manipulated into alleviating some of these harmful stressors which in turn will drive positive change. At TheraCise, we begin by getting your body into homeostasis, then train the neuromuscular system to continually change and adapt. This will ensure that workouts are fresh and exciting with “feel good” results each session. Whatever it takes for our clients to FEEL and BE their best, that’s what we do at TheraCise.
